EUREGHA - European Regional and Local Health Authorities
Director of the European Regional and Local Health Authorities network at EUREGHA - European Regional and Local Health Authorities asbl
Brussels, Belgium
About
The EUREGHA network currently comprises 28 members, including regional and local health authorities—such as regional health departments—as well as associate organisations, including research centres, municipal networks and disease-specific organisations. Beyond its formal membership, EUREGHA connects a wider community through its involvement in EU policy initiatives and funded projects, and through structured cooperation with European institutions and other health stakeholders.
EUREGHA serves as the officially appointed Secretariat of the European Committee of the Regions’ Interregional Group on Health and Well-being. It also contributes to European stakeholder groups and multi-stakeholder networks, including the EU Health Coalition and the European Alliance for Value in Health. Through these roles, EUREGHA provides a direct link between European policy discussions and the experience, priorities and solutions emerging from regional and local health systems.
The network’s thematic work is supported by dedicated Working Groups on Cancer, Digital Transformation and Health Data, and Cross-Border Healthcare. EUREGHA is also active across areas including mental health, cardiovascular health, prevention, integrated care, health workforce and skills, active and healthy ageing, health inequalities, innovation, and the green and digital transformation of health systems.
Drawing on its network, stakeholder relationships and extensive EU project experience, EUREGHA acts as a trusted interlocutor for EU institutions and the wider European health community. It is an experienced partner in EU-funded projects, contributing in particular to stakeholder engagement, communication and dissemination, community building, policy dialogue, exploitation, clustering, and the translation of project results into regional policy and practice.
EUREGHA has participated in initiatives funded through programmes including Horizon Europe and Erasmus+, covering topics such as mental health (BOOST), active and healthy ageing (IN-4-AHA), cancer prevention and early detection (ONCODIR and PREDI-LYNCH), innovation procurement (InnoFacilitator), digital precision medicine (InnoMedCatalyst), green and digital skills for the health and care workforce (BeWell), and culture and health (CultureAndHealth Platform).
EUREGHA is seeking opportunities to join new European projects as an experienced consortium partner and to help connect project activities and results with its network of regional and local health authorities across Europe.
