About
Vilnius University Faculty of Medicine has strong interests in precision medicine, biomarker research, population health, translational medicine, and AI-enabled healthcare. Through the Lithuanian Population and Rare Diseases Biobank, specialized research centres, and clinical collaborations, the Faculty can contribute valuable expertise and resources for biomarker discovery and validation. VU FM supports the integration of biological, clinical, genomic, and real-world health data to improve prediction of disease progression and treatment outcomes. The Faculty is particularly interested in developing innovative approaches that combine advanced analytics, machine learning, and multimodal datasets to support personalized healthcare. Participation in international consortia would enable VU FM to contribute to the development of predictive tools that improve prevention, diagnosis, treatment selection, and long-term management of chronic non-communicable diseases.
