About
We offer expertise in patient-derived xenograft (PDX) models of solid tumours and are seeking collaborations in translational cancer research and Horizon Europe projects where clinically relevant in vivo models can support preclinical and translational objectives.
PDX models provide a valuable platform for preserving key biological and molecular characteristics of human tumours and can contribute to the evaluation of therapeutic strategies, biomarker validation, investigation of treatment response and resistance, and the development of precision oncology approaches.
Our expertise can contribute to projects requiring preclinical validation of novel therapeutic strategies, evaluation of drug response, identification and validation of predictive or pharmacodynamic biomarkers, investigation of mechanisms of treatment resistance, and integration of molecular profiling with in vivo phenotypic response.
We are particularly interested in multidisciplinary projects combining PDX models with complementary approaches such as genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, liquid biopsy, multi-omics, imaging, bioinformatics and AI-based predictive modelling. Such integration could facilitate the translation of molecular findings into functionally and clinically relevant evidence.
We are seeking collaboration with academic and research institutions, hospitals and cancer centres, biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, SMEs, and multidisciplinary consortia working on solid tumours, therapeutic development, biomarkers and precision oncology.
We are open to joining existing consortia or contributing to the development of new proposals under Horizon Europe Cluster 1 Health and the EU Mission on Cancer, particularly where PDX models can provide a robust preclinical platform bridging molecular discoveries and clinical translation
