About
IMC brings together expertise in regenerative and personalized medicine, stem cell biology, immunology, molecular and cellular biology, tissue engineering, nanomedicine, biopharmacy, biomarkers, and innovative diagnostics and therapies. IMC has extensive experience in national and international research programmes, including Horizon Europe, Horizon 2020, MSCA and ERA-NET initiatives. Its current and recent projects address advanced biomedical technologies, osteoarthritis, extracellular vesicles, regenerative medicine, tissue engineering, nanopharmaceuticals, cancer diagnostics, neurodegenerative diseases, and antimicrobial therapies. Notable projects include TWINFLAG, strengthening research capacity in inflammatory and degenerative joint diseases; OASIs, developing innovative nanopharmaceutical approaches for osteoarthritis; SMARTPIEZO, focused on smart bio-based osteochondral constructs; and EVEREST, advancing extracellular vesicle research, biomarkers, and therapeutic applications. With advanced research infrastructure, an Open Access Centre, multidisciplinary expertise, and established international collaborations, IMC is a strong partner for translational, multidisciplinary, and innovation-driven research projects, particularly in advanced therapies, regenerative medicine, personalized medicine, diagnostics, biomaterials, and biomedical technology development.
