Jozef Stefan Institute is the premier Slovenian research institution on natural sciences and technology. Department of Intelligent Systems conducts (applied) research on artificial intelligence, particularly in the health domain: we interpret sensor data using machine learning, we use trustworthy AI to predict health risks, we provide decision support for healthcare professionals, and smart digital interventions for patients and other citizens. We have extensive experience with European projects, we have won several awards, including being among the two grand winners of the $500k XPrize Pandemic Response Challenge, and we are co-founders of the Slovenian AI Factory.
