The Faculty of Dentistry at Riga Stradiņš University (RSU), Latvia, combines clinical expertise, education and scientific research in dentistry and oral health. Our research activities include dental imaging, digital technologies, artificial intelligence (AI) and the development of innovative diagnostic approaches.
One of our key research directions focuses on AI-based analysis of cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) images for early identification of osteoporosis risk. In collaboration with technology and clinical partners, we are developing and evaluating AI-based imaging biomarkers, with a particular focus on clinical applicability, diagnostic accuracy and validation across different CBCT systems.
We are interested in participating in international multidisciplinary research consortia within Horizon Europe, particularly in projects related to AI in healthcare, medical imaging, predictive biomarkers, osteoporosis, early disease detection and clinical validation.
We welcome collaboration with universities, hospitals, research institutions and technology partners to further develop and validate innovative AI-based diagnostic solutions.
Riga Stradins University Faculty of Dentistry offers dental imaging data, expert annotation and clinical validation expertise for AI-based biomarker research. We seek international partners in dental imaging, AI and bone health research.
