Contactless, Non-Invasive Cardiac Sensing Using Miniaturised Quantum Magnetometry
Head of Product at MatterDecoder SA at Matter Decoder SA
Bern, Switzerland
About
The proposed technology will investigate the potential of detecting cardiac magnetic-field signals without direct skin contact, with the objective of enabling more accessible and unobtrusive cardiac assessment. The project could integrate advanced sensor technology, signal processing, digital health tools and clinical decision-support methods into a clinically validated healthcare intervention.
Potential Objectives:
-
Optimise the quantum magnetometer and sensor-array configuration for contactless cardiac signal acquisition, supported by computational heart modelling.
-
Establish standardised MCG data-acquisition and processing protocols and validate signal quality against ECG and other relevant reference methods.
-
Evaluate diagnostic performance and clinical utility in a defined cardiovascular patient population with an unmet clinical need.
-
Assess clinical integration, patient acceptability, health economics, regulatory and reimbursement requirements, and pathways to adoption.
