St Francis Naggalama Hospital

St. Francis Naggalama Hospital is a longstanding private, non-profit, faith-based community hospital located in Naggalama, Mukono District, Central Uganda. Owned by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lugazi and managed by the Little Sisters of St. Francis, it was founded in 1906 and serves a rural catchment area of approximately 300,000 people.The hospital offers comprehensive general medical and surgical care, including specialized outpatient clinics for HIV/AIDS management, maternal and child health, palliative care, and emergency services. It features around 100-118 beds, diagnostic labs, and pharmacy support, emphasizing accessible healthcare for underserved communitiess part of Uganda Catholic Medical Bureau (UCMB) network, it focuses on community outreach, training, and partnerships for health initiatives like WASH and sickle cell programs. It remains a vital referral center in East Africa despite resource challenges.
