We bring together companies, research organisations, healthcare providers and public actors to enable collaboration, implementation and scaling of health innovations across regional, national and European contexts.
Our core role in Horizon Europe projects is ecosystem orchestration and implementation, rather than technology ownership or laboratory-based research. We contribute by connecting complementary partners, facilitating multi-sector collaboration, supporting pilot environments and helping translate research and innovation into real-world impact.
We are particularly interested in coordination and implementation-oriented topics under Horizon Europe Cluster 1 Health, including:
Building public trust, stakeholder engagement and outreach in life sciences
Innovative public procurement and market uptake of health solutions
Multisectoral approaches to prevent and manage chronic non-communicable diseases
Scaling up innovation and good practices, especially in cardiovascular health
In addition, our ecosystem includes strong expertise in digital health solutions for children and young people, as well as advanced therapies (gene, cell and regenerative medicine). In these areas, Kuopio Health acts as a connector and facilitator for relevant SMEs, research groups and clinical partners, supporting pilots, follow-on funding pathways and European networking (e.g. ATMP-related initiatives).

ecosystem-level coordination, stakeholder engagement or implementation science is essential
regional or local pilot environments add value
collaboration between research, industry, healthcare and public actors is a key success factor
