Technological capabilities of SIMAVI team include AI/ML, IoT, Big Data & Analytics, EHR applications, tele-monitoring & tele-rehabilitation, Digital Twins, Social & Communication services, eHealth cybersecurity tools, XR/AR/VR. SIMAVI can also support pilot deployment and implementation in Romania and Eastern Europe through strong collaborations with public and private hospitals, clinical partners, and public health authorities.

SIMAVI’s experts have developed and implemented solutions for the Ministry of Health in Romania, improving the management of health insurance funds and enhancing the quality of medical and pharmaceutical services.

PIAS - Integrated Health Insurance Platform includes the following systems:

a. SIUI - Integrated Information System: SIUI manages essential processes including e-Eligibility (determining insurance status), e-Claiming (collecting data on medical services provided), e-Approval (verifying service eligibility), and e-Payment (calculating reimbursements and processing payments). It is the largest operational system in Romania, ensuring national coverage.

b. SIPE – Information System for Electronic Prescription: SIPE controls free or compensated medical prescriptions, enhances prescription quality, reduces errors, provides real-time monitoring of drug demand and consumption, and reduces fraud in the CNAS system.

c. CEAS - Health Insurance National Card: CEAS uniquely identifies patients needing medical services, records vital emergency data, and reduces fraud against National Single Fund for Health Insurance.

d. DES - Electronic Health Record System: DES is a centralized database of patients' medical data, accessible by healthcare providers and patients through secure portals. It integrates with other PIAS systems like SIUI, SIPE, and CEAS.

SIMAVI’s tools and capabilities in Health & Healthcare:

Integrated Federated Framework for multi-source clinical data for efficient collaboration across the participating organizations, respecting each data contributor’s access, privacy and consent approaches;

Integrated Patient Care Ecosystem:

* Tele-monitoring application & health aggregator (monitoring), consisting of eHealth sensor-based devices (wearables, smart bands, weight scales, blood pressure);

* Patient centered app to continuously monitor patients, that can also be used to record their health status through questionnaires or treatment measurements;

* AI-based Virtual Assistant and Patient Treatment Journey Applications offer interactive support for patients throughout their treatment journey, delivering clear guidance and personalized recommendations;

* Serious Games and AR/VR for rehabilitation support aims to engage patients actively in their care through innovative tools that promote cognitive training, and effective rehabilitation.
