Our researchers team mission is to improve human health and the environment by employing new technologies, innovations, advanced education and dissemination of knowledge in molecular genetics, medicine and biotechnology. We are guided by scientific excellence, high ethical standards and vision to upgrade the quality of life, with the goal of creating benefits for society as a whole.
IMGGE is an academic research institution specialized in the fields of human molecular genetics and genomics, molecular microbiology, ecology of microorganisms and molecular biology of plants. The success we achieve in research and innovations lies in efficient and unique interplay of interdisciplinary scientists whose research is driven by diverse health and environmental challenges such as malignant, rare and non-communicable diseases, antibiotic resistance, food, water and soil quality, and waste disposal/management. Steered by broad scientific knowledge, advanced technologies and creative innovations in the fields of biomedicine and biotechnology, we continuously acquire new insights and skills and lay out scientific excellence. Considering large number of talented youngsters, we are particularly dedicated to supporting students and early career researchers on their journey, offering mentorship, infrastructure and a dynamic environment for their development and progression to independent scientists. On a final note, we are active and respected participants in the scientific, technological and social growth of the country and wider region, making original contributions to public health and environmental protection.
