About
The Centre for Research and Applications in Fluidic Technologies (CRAFT) is a long-term partnership between the National Research Council of Canada, the University of Toronto, and Unity Health Toronto, dedicated to advancing microfluidics-enabled health technologies. By uniting academic, government, and clinical expertise, CRAFT accelerates innovation across three core research pillars: organ-on-a-chip, biofabrication, and diagnostics. Its mission is to strengthen Canada’s microfluidic device value chain from discovery to commercialization, while training the next generation of scientists and fostering industrial growth. With facilities in Toronto and Boucherville, CRAFT infrasctrucutre includes state-of-the-art equipment for prototyping, validation, and scaling, ensuring that transformative biomedical technologies reach patients and markets efficiently.
