ABC CoLAB -Ageing Better

The ABC CoLAB – Ageing Better is a Collaborative Laboratory recognized by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology since November 2022 and constituted as a non-profit private association.

We aim to address and integrate the different dimensions of ageing through a integrative approach while fostering knowledge and technology transfer to society and target markets. The main pillars of our research and innovation agenda are Health and Biomedicine, Social Sciences, Technology, and Wellness and Senior Tourism.

Our team of researchers assembles multidisciplinary skills from areas as Neurosciences, Metabolism, Microbiome, Chronic Diseases, Psychology, Health at Work, Lifelong Learning, Bioinformatics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Tourism to drive innovation, create impactful solutions, and improve the quality of life for ageing populations.

By integrating expertise across these fields, we aim to deliver cutting-edge research, contribute to the development of personalized interventions, and promote sustainable approaches to health, well-being, and social integration in ageing societies
