Yıldız Technical University (YTU), established in 1911, is one of Turkey’s oldest and most prestigious technical universities, located in Istanbul TÜRKİYE. YTU currently hosts approximately 27,697 undergraduate students and employs 1,749 academic and 687 administrative staff. The university comprises 10 faculties and 3 graduate schools, offering a broad academic structure that supports both education and research excellence.

Research and Development

Over the past decade, YTU has prioritized R&D in its strategic plans, achieving notable success across various disciplines. The university actively conducts research in critical areas such as biotechnology, clean energy, and digital technologies. These efforts are supported by robust research infrastructure, including 293 laboratories and numerous research and application centers.

In December 2021, the Council of Higher Education declared Yıldız Technical University as the fifth best research university in Turkey in the A1 group in the list of Research Universities. Yıldız Technical University, with its Technopark established in 2003, has also won the most successful Technopark award in the last two years.
