Neuro Muss

Neuro Muss is a women-led MedTech startup dedicated to transforming stroke rehabilitation through accessible, user-centered innovation. Our mission is to empower people with severe hand mobility limitations—especially stroke survivors—by providing a simple, effective device they can use independently at home. We are developing NewPulse, an innovative medical device designed for passive, high-repetition hand therapy that supports neuroplasticity, reduces pain, and improves quality of life.

Our Story

Neuro Muss was founded after a deeply personal experience. When our CEO, Saša Lavrič, witnessed her mother struggle with paralysis, swelling, and constant pain after a stroke, she saw first-hand how limited current rehabilitation options are—especially for patients who cannot move their hand at all. This experience revealed a significant gap in the rehabilitation market: most devices require active hand movement, professional supervision, or expensive therapy sessions.

Motivated by this unmet need, Saša brought together a multidisciplinary team of experts in kinesiology, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, and product design. Together, they envisioned a device that would offer simple, affordable, high-repetition therapy directly in the patient’s home. The result is NewPulse—an ergonomic and cost-effective rehabilitation solution designed for real people with real limitations.

Our Solution: NewPulse

NewPulse is a passive, home-based rehabilitation device that gently lifts and lowers the fingers, creating the repetitive movement needed to stimulate neuroplasticity. Unlike existing solutions, NewPulse requires no active hand movement and no assistance from another person, making it suitable even for the most severely affected patients.
