International Centre for Cancer Vaccine Science, University of Gdańsk
About
The International Centre for Cancer Vaccine Science (ICCVS) is a multidisciplinary research centre at the University of Gdańsk, established in partnership with the University of Edinburgh. Our mission is to advance scientific understanding of the molecular mechanisms at the cancer–immune cell interface, and to contribute to the development of innovative cancer vaccines and immunotherapies that improve cancer treatment outcomes.
To achieve this mission, ICCVS conducts cutting-edge research and trains the next generation of cancer scientists to expand knowledge of the cancer–immune landscape both in Poland and worldwide.
Our ambition is to be an interdisciplinary and international centre of excellence, driving comprehensive research in immunotherapies that can lead to the creation of personalized therapeutic cancer vaccines - and ultimately to their commercialization and implementation in clinical practice.
ICCVS was established in 2017 under the International Research Agendas Programme of the Foundation for Polish Science, co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund.
