Evidence-Based Strategies to Reduce Low-Value Care in Health Systems

European Project Coordinator at Biokeralty Research Institute AIE

About

Keralty is an international integrated health group serving 6.9 million patients with 24,450 professionals across Colombia, Peru, Mexico, and the United States. The organisation combines healthcare delivery, diagnostics, digital health, and research, with a proven track record in H2020 and Horizon Europe projects.

Keralty is well positioned to contribute to HORIZON-HLTH-2026-01-CARE-03, supporting research to identify, measure, and reduce low-value care in health and care systems. Our contributions include:

  • Conducting clinical studies and real-world evidence generation to validate interventions and monitor outcomes

  • Leveraging our network of over 70 laboratories, staffed by highly qualified professionals and equipped with cutting-edge technology in genomics, infectious diseases, and molecular diagnostics

  • Providing data-driven insights and patient-centred strategies to optimise care pathways and enhance health system efficiency

  • Integrating digital tools, AI models, and registry data to identify patterns of overuse, misuse, and underuse across care settings

In addition, BioKeralty Research Institute, part of Keralty’s R&D&I division, can join consortia to provide complementary support in data analysis, methodology development, FAIR data management, and dissemination. BioKeralty also contributes expertise in translational research, precision medicine, and health system innovation, strengthening the impact of interventions across regions.

Together, Keralty and BioKeralty offer a strong combination of clinical trial capability, advanced laboratory infrastructure, real-world cohorts, and EU project experience, making them ideal partners for projects aiming to improve patient outcomes, reduce waste, and promote high-value, sustainable healthcare. We are ready to collaborate with policymakers, academic institutions, SMEs, and healthcare organisations to pilot, scale, and transfer solutions that reduce low-value care across European health systems.
