Psychosocial Rehabilitation for Recovery and Social Inclusion
senior researcher at University of Cagliari (UNICA)
Cagliari, Italy
About
This project promotes recovery-oriented psychosocial rehabilitation by integrating evidence-informed community interventions with accessible technologies. The initiative brings together mental health services, NGOs, peer-support networks, and tech partners to co-create and test a rehabilitation pathway that strengthens daily functioning, social inclusion, and continuity of care.
Rationale
Psychosocial rehabilitation often requires consistent support in skills training, goal-setting, community engagement, and coordination across services. Technology can enhance these components by enabling flexible access, personalized self-management especially for people facing geographical, mobility, stigma-related, or resource barriers. The project ensures that technology is used ethically, inclusively, and in ways that complement—not replace—human relationships and community-based support.
