Advancing methods to prepare and adapt to health emergencies (pandemics, climate change) using large-scale register and cohort data and advanced AI tools

Research associate at Lund University, EPI@Lund research group

Lund, Sweden

About

We are an interdisciplinary research group at Lund University, Sweden, bringing together epidemiologists, data scientists, and infectious disease clinicians. Our research develops innovative, data‑driven methods to identify, monitor, and evaluate population health trends in response to major health threats, including pandemics and climate‑related extremes.

Our core strength lies in leveraging the unique Swedish register and cohort data infrastructure, combined with biomonitoring data and state‑of‑the‑art AI and machine‑learning methods that are at the forefront of current data‑driven health research. This enables us to develop and validate scalable, methodologically novel tools that support pandemic preparedness, climate resilience, and evidence‑based decision‑making in the health sector.
