DESTINATION 5:HORIZON-HLTH-2026-01-TOOL-03: Integrating New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) to advance biomedical research and regulatory testing

Our interest is in respiratory NAMs for safety, mode-of-action, and efficacy evaluation of (non-)inhalable drugs or drug delivery systems (liposomes, LNP, exosomes).

We perform in vitro exposure (aerosol generation and in-line characterization) and evaluation (classical endpoints, real-time high-content imaging) of advanced lung or nasal cell models (healthy or diseased, including infected models), and in silico prediction of human impact (PBPK, IVIVE). We have (co-)developed the VITROCELL NAVETTA exposure system, and have ample experience in NAM validation efforts.
