iPSC-derived neuronal models in 2D and 3D
PI at Masaryk University
Brno, Czech Republic
About
We offer a comprehensive portfolio of human iPSC-derived neuronal models in both 2D and 3D formats, including induced neurons, mixed neuronal–glial cultures, cerebral organoids, and advanced co-culture systems (e.g. neuron–glia and tumor–brain organoid models).
Our models are primarily applied to the study of neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric disorders, with a strong focus on Alzheimer’s disease, glioblastoma, and schizophrenia, as well as gene- and pathway-specific mechanisms underlying neuronal dysfunction, neuroinflammation, and treatment resistance.
Available assays and readouts include:
-
standard molecular biology assays (qPCR, WB, ELISA, FACS)
-
immunocytochemistry and histology,
-
fluorescent microscopy, high-content and live-cell imaging,
-
electron microscopy (SEM, TEM)
-
single-cell and bulk RNA sequencing,
-
proteomics and pathway analysis,
-
electrophysiology (MEA),
-
calcium imaging,
-
functional assays of trafficking, synaptic activity, and cell viability,
-
drug and inhibitor testing in 2D cultures, organoids, and tumoroids.
These platforms enable mechanistic studies, target validation, and preclinical drug testing in human-relevant neuronal systems.
