About
This opportunity addresses the development of an AI-enabled digital module integrated into the European Cancer Patient Digital Centre (ECPDC), with the aim of strengthening the mental health of adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer patients and survivors across diagnosis, treatment and survivorship. The topic focuses on personalised, evidence-based and interactive digital tools that support cognitive, emotional and behavioural aspects of mental health, while ensuring compliance with European digital health, data protection and governance requirements. Key elements include multilingual, multi-device solutions, the collection and analysis of patient-reported outcomes and experiences (PROMs/PREMs), and close co-creation with patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals.
SESTEK can contribute as a technology provider of AI-powered conversational and voice-based solutions, building on its Virtual Agent (VA) product. SESTEK can provide multilingual virtual assistants enabling patients and caregivers to ask questions and receive guidance related to disease- and mental health–related challenges, supported by voice and text interaction channels. These solutions can facilitate structured PROMs/PREMs collection, personalised conversational journeys and supportive interactions for both patients and healthcare professionals.
We currently run a similar project (MedGPT) in which we contribute as a technology provider for an AI-based conversational software solution for the healthcare domain, designed to support patient–system interaction, structured data collection, and clinical decision support through natural language and voice-based interfaces. We believe our experiences from the MedGPT project will be of help for this call as well.
