Mechanistic mathematical modeling (systems biology approach)
Tenured professor at Computational Systems Biology team, Rīga Stradiņš University
Riga, Latvia
About
Ordinary differential equation (ODE) based, Boolean logic and linear algebra models can be applied to understand biomollecular processes and manipulate them towards desired behavior. Usually this is a cyclic process where in silico predictions have to be tested in vivo or in vitro to reveal necessary improvements in the model until the model can represent the system of iinterest at sufficient level of details.
