Human Microbiome Analysis Platform for New Approach Methodologies (NAMs)
Scientific Project Manager at mbiomics GmBH
Munich, Germany
About
Mbiomics GmbH is a biotechnology start-up developing a core technology for rapid, standardised analysis of the human bacterial microbiome.
We are seeking collaboration partners with expertise in computational biology, systems biology or disease-focused human model systems for a HORIZON-HLTH-2026-01-TOOL-03 consortium.
Within the project, the platform will be further developed, optimized and validated as a New Approach Methodology (NAM) to improve prediction of disease mechanisms and treatment-related effects.
The platform is designed for use with human-based models such as in vitro, ex vivo, organoid and Organ-on-Chip systems, enabling investigation of microbiome-dependent effects that are difficult to capture in animals. It is flexible and adaptable to different microbiome types, disease contexts and targeted microbial analyses.
The project aims to establish a robust, reproducible and transferable NAM supporting human-relevant drug discovery and early development while reducing reliance on animal testing.
