NAM: organoids and OoC for drug discovery, and precision medicine applications
full professor at Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Latvia
Riga, Latvia
About
We develop human-relevant New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) based on patient-derived 3D cultures and organ-on-chip (OoC) platforms. Our expertise includes tumour and matched normal organoids in pancreatic cancer and pancreatitis models, tumour–stroma co-cultures, and drug response profiling.
We have extensive experience in pancreatic cancer, supported by a well-characterised organoid library generated from more than 25 patient surgical resection samples.
We seek to contribute to Horizon Europe consortia by providing validated, scalable, and human-relevant NAMs for translational research, drug discovery, and precision medicine applications.
