About
Our institution hosts a group of research teams that approach various neurological diseases from a complementary translational perspective, combining basic and applied science. Our department houses specialized units dedicated to addressing complex and rare disorders, such as neurometabolic diseases, neuromuscular disorders, refractory epilepsy, sleep disorders, movement disorders, neuroectodermal disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and neuroimmunological disorders.
With over 40 years of experience, the Pediatric Neurology Department has established itself as a leader in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of pediatric neurological and developmental disorders. We conduct over 13,000 outpatient visits annually (including 3,157 first consultations) and provide care for 575 hospitalizations each year.
We are actively seeking collaborations for joint projects that can leverage our clinical expertise and cutting-edge research capabilities, with a particular focus on developing novel therapeutic approaches and improving patient outcomes through personalized medicine.
