Empowering patients through shared decision making
Senior advisor and researcher at Center for Shared Decision Making
Vejle, Denmark
About
The Center for Shared Decision Making (CFFB) is a national pioneer in advancing shared decision making (SDM) to ensure patients are meaningfully involved in decisions regarding their care. Guided by a multidisciplinary advisory board, we work closely with clinical departments to develop, scale, and refine SDM implementation, patient decision aids PDAs, and clinician training - both nationally and internationally.
Drawing on extensive experience, we have developed structured implementation models such as SDM:HOSP and SDM:KOMPASS. We are committed to international collaboration to enhance and validate these tools in diverse healthcare contexts.
We seek to join European consortia focused on research, implementation, and pilot initiatives addressing key societal health challenges. Our focus areas include health equity, patient and caregiver activation, clinician training, the use of AI in SDM, development of PDAs, improving patient outcomes, and reducing unnecessary medical interventions.
