About
The Interdisciplinary Ethics and Society Research Group at the University of Warwick, lead by Professor Keith Hyams, has a substantial track record in the ethics of Artificial Intelligence, big data, and emerging technology, health ethics, security ethics, research ethics, and societal, user and policy engagement. Professor Hyams has led and participated in many European and other funded research projects and has published a large number of peer reviewed articles. In 2015 he was awarded the Inaugural Sanders Prize in Political Philosophy, one of the most prestigious awards in his field. He has held visiting positions at the University of Toronto, the University of Louvain, and the University of Oxford. His policy work includes advising a broad range of NGOs, businesses, and government bodies, including advising the UK Cabinet Office and the Department for Culture, Media, and Sport. He has worked closely on climate and development issues with city governments and local organisations.
The IESRG is looking for opportunities to collaborate around various health calls, whether in cluster 1 or beyond, and to lead WPs and tasks on related ethics and SSH topics.
