NEXOTERIA

NEXOTERIA is a French deep-tech startup developing a new generation of low-carbon insulation materials for the construction and building-renovation industry.

Originating from research conducted at Université Gustave Eiffel, NEXOTERIA develops high-performance thermal and acoustic insulation panels based on an innovative combination of geopolymer technology and natural fibers. The solution is designed to address a major challenge in the construction sector: reducing the environmental impact of insulation without compromising performance, fire safety, affordability, or industrial scalability.

NEXOTERIA’s approach relies on circular and locally sourced resources, including agricultural and industrial by-products, together with low-carbon mineral binders. Its manufacturing approach is designed to operate at ambient temperature, reducing the energy requirements associated with production while supporting local and flexible manufacturing.

The company’s initial focus is the energy renovation of existing buildings, particularly interior thermal insulation, with the ambition to progressively address broader construction applications. NEXOTERIA works within an ecosystem of academic, technical, and industrial partners to advance material formulation, testing, certification, pilot production, and future industrialization.
