MOLBIOCEL is high-performance research facility, which includes an extensive array of equipments for characterisation of molecules and biomolecules and their interactions. Strategic R&D directions: Molecular and biomolecular systems with controlled architecture and functionalities for durable economic development; Molecular technologies development in emerging domains of medicine, bioeconomy, ecotechnology and bionanotechnology; Nanostructured systems with controlled architecture, assembly and functionality take into account the international trends that support research strongly oriented towards practical impact of its outputs. The cell cultures and microbiology laboratory meets the highest safety standards as defined by European and International guidelines. Work to be carried out in this lab includes all experimental procedures involving bacteria, fungi, human and animal cell cultures and animal tissue cultures up to biosafety level 2. The infrastructure allows diversifying the range of scientific and technological services offered to different economical entities, to stimulate the setting up of new production companies promoting innovative technologies, and to facilitate the technological transfer to industry. MOLBIOCEL is available to INCDTIM Cluj-Napoca internal and affiliated researchers, as well as to external researchers from academia, medical, biotechnological and industrial domains.
