About
Topics where Yesilova can make a technical contribution: Aluminium is preferred for the high corrosion resistance expected in hydrogen production tanks. With our experience in aluminium extrusion and our large-scale extrusion machines, it is possible to produce Type III tanks for hydrogen storage. We can produce solutions with our R&D & I capabilities at the filling and connection points of the tank where special shaping processes are performed.
To mention the EU projects(H2020,Eureka) in which we have previously participated as coordinator and partner:
1- ALBATROSS is a project coordinated by Yesilova Holding. Among the project partners are 21 companies, including Fiat-Chrysler, Ford and Mercedes-Benz, which have high recognition in their sectors on a global scale. The ALBATROSS project will develop an integrated approach based on smart batteries combined with lightweight designs. Innovative cooling technologies will be utilised to ensure optimum operating temperature, while battery pack solutions suitable for recycling and reuse will be offered.
2- LEVIS: New technologies that can fill the existing industrial gap in automotive mass production to develop a production route. LEVIS project, economic from the design stage of the products to the end of their life cycle and adopting a green life concept, lightweight in electric vehicles on the development, verification and submission of structural parts is built. Improved sustainability, optimised raw materials utilisation, energy and cost efficiency, reduced weight and with it It is aimed to ensure high structural integrity and reliability. In this 13-partner project, Yesilova Holding is a partner.
3- LightBEE: The overall aim of the research project “LightBEE” is to develop a range of new high added-value battery components for the transport industry, using innovative joining technologies. Therefore, systematic and reliable knowledge and data will be generated about the applicability of promising joining processes for manufacturing of battery modules, carriers and sub-components. The optimised battery components should be lighter, having better safety properties, and produced more cost-effectively and more environmentally-friendly. In this 8-partner project, Yesilova Holding is a coordinator. In 2022, the project was successfully completed.
