I have been working with my American partner (Dan Pratte) to come up with the simple way to produce hydrogen. We use the feedstock that is available in every country - Ethanol or alcohol.
Our project started from the observation that the delay of taking off the ground of hydrogen energy is the obstacle for storage and transportation. Most of centralized hydrogen production encounter the costly storage and logistic. As a result, our strategy for making hydrogen is to produce it at the site where the hydrogen is consumed by off-takers or end-users. It is "total cost of ownership (TCO)" factor that we always aware in the process to make hydrogen.
Under our ethanol steam reform, we convert 40 percent ABV alcohol into ultra-pure hydrogen with small heat system to ultra-pure hydrogen 99.999 percent. Our ratio is using 7 kg of alcohol to make 1 kg. of hydrogen. Our mobility machine is the small pick-up truck size for 50-kg. hydrogen output per day anytime and anywhere as long as we can find low cost alcohol.
The output can be use for claiming carbon credit as every kilogram of our hydrogen output is $408 carbon credit so the investors or user can obtain credit from the output they generate each day. It is the technology readiness level 7 (TRL-7) where we are at the stage of raising USD 3 million fund for making commercial prototype.
