The University of Trento hosts internationally recognised research in Artificial Intelligence, machine learning and complex systems modelling.
Our research group develops advanced methods in Graph Neural Networks, physics-informed machine learning, optimisation and probabilistic forecasting, with applications to networked infrastructures and energy systems.
We focus on modelling integrated energy systems, grid flexibility, renewable integration, storage optimisation and digital twin approaches for system-level decision support.
The team combines strong theoretical foundations with applied research and cross-sector collaboration.
