GermanyThe Department Tailored Lightweight Composites (TC) area deals with the theoretical and practical aspects of targeted material adaptations on the mesoscale and macroscale of predominantly continuous fiber-reinforced composites for extreme, highly optimized lightweight construction applications.
In addition to the efficient use of materials through the application of generative manufacturing processes, the focus is also on the highest possible functionalization of macroscopic structural components through holistic approaches in the development of design methods and component design.
