Eksim has become an important group in distribution by taking over Dicle Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş and Dicle Elektrik Perakende Satış A.Ş., which provide electricity distribution services in Turkey's largest geography, from the Privatization Administration in 2013. Dicle Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş, which serves a population of approximately 6 million in Diyarbakır, Şanlıurfa, Mardin, Siirt, Batman and Şırnak, provides annual electricity distribution of 23.4 billion kilowatt-hours in an area of 60,102 square kilometers. Dicle Elektrik Dağıtım is one of the most technical electricity distribution companies in the country with its investments in R&D as well as fighting against illegal use in a region where illegal use and electricity waste are high. Dicle Elektrik aims to rapidly reduce this loss by developing 100% domestically produced smart meter systems, in addition to its fight against leakage and waste, which is estimated to cause approximately 6 billion TL of damage to the economy annually.
