My organisation

Founded in 1966, the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) comprises of 5 Faculties and hosts approximately 27,000 students including 15% from abroad. The Faculty of Engineering (TEK) consists of 5 institutes conducting research in several areas. As for sustainable cooling and heating technologies, research activities involve natural refrigerants, district heating and cooling, waste heat recovery, innovative components and configurations as well as smart control, fault detection, energy optimizing control, optimal maintenance scheduling. Also, SDU has strong collaborations with various relevant industrial partners in the field, which might be involved in research projects.

About me

Mohammed Ali Khan is an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Industrial Electronics, University of Southern Denmark. He received his B.Tech. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Karunya University, Coimbatore, India, in 2013, and his M.Tech. degree in Power Systems from Amity University, Noida, India, in 2016. He earned his Ph.D. in Power Management of Grid-Connected Distributed Generation from the Advanced Power Electronics Research Laboratory, Department of Electrical Engineering, Jamia Millia Islamia (A Central University), New Delhi, India, in 2021. He was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Centre for Industrial Electronics, University of Southern Denmark, from February 2023 to January 2025, and at the Department of Electrical Power Engineering, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication, Brno University of Technology, Czech Republic, from December 2021 to January 2023. He also served as a Visiting Researcher at the Center of Reliable Power Electronics, Aalborg University, Denmark, from October to December 2020. From 2017 to 2020, he worked as Guest Faculty in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Jamia Millia Islamia. He researches focuses on power electronics, intelligent control, and their applications in renewable energy integration, power quality enhancement, multiphysics Modelling, and grid reliability. He has authored several peer-reviewed publications and presented his work at international conferences.
