About me

I have a background in urban and transport planning from the US and have been at Chalmers for five years. My research focuses on parking policy and how reductions in parking requirements can change travel behaviors. I also look at how parking policies can be used to promote other types of mobility, from bike sharing and car sharing, and even to more sustainable uses of autonomous vehicles.

In addition, my work explores numerous other aspects of sustainable transport - walkability, cycling, shared mobility, public transport. Much of my work explores shifts in travel behavior from policy implementation, as well as the impact of the built environment on travel. More recently, my work has incorporated the 15-minute city concept and explores issues of neighborhood design and mobility.

I collaborate with municipalities in much of my work to increase its relevance and have more immediate impacts. I am currently the project manager for a DUT 2022 project, CargoNE City, which explores the potential of shared electric cargo bikes to reduce car dependency and increase accessibility to essential urban functions.
