EPL Technology Frontiers Ltd has been formed in 2021 with others targeting systems, solutions and services centred around power systems, power electronics, smart grids, storage, sustainable energies with emphasis on solar technologies, e-Mobility, all aspects of the electricity market and energy communities responding to the needs for consultantship services to Cypriot companies in the above fields as core area but extended to other EU and affiliated countries as required, education / training and research & innovation through Horizon Europe and other financial instruments. EPL Technology Frontiers is reinforced with very experienced personnel coming from the industry and research centres with a wealth of experience in the wider field of energy. EPL is heavily involved in: • Consulting services and activities for capacity building of a newly established supplier in Cyprus (2021-present) • For a newly established company for promoting circular economy in Cyprus(2021-present) • Companies pursuing the erection of PV utility size plants (2021 – present) • Services for startups innovation fund claim(2021-present) To succeed on this, the following capacity building activities are pursued by EPL: • Consulting activities regarding the positioning and the different strategies that the client should pursue including state of the art technology adaption in meeting operational objectives. • Risk management and portfolio management evaluation and analysis with recommendations for policy to be pursued. • Training activities to the client staff for the different levels of integration in the market EPL experts were key contributors to the Horizon 2020 project INTERPLAN “INTEgrated opeRation PLANning tool towards the pan-European network”. The INTERPLAN project aims to provide an INTEgrated opeRation PLANning tool towards the pan-European network, to support the EU in reaching the expected low-carbon targets, while maintaining network security. Personnel of EPL play an important role in PANTERA project(https://pantera-platform.eu/)project (Horizon 2020)- (12/02/21‐12/02/23). PAN European Technology Energy Research Approach (PANTERA) is an EU H2020 project aimed at setting up a European forum composed of Research & Innovation stakeholders active in the fields of smart grids, storage and local energy systems, including policy makers, standardization bodies and experts in both research and academia, representing the EU energy system. EPL as a full partner to the Horizon 2020 project DATA CELLAR will create a public energy dataspace that will support the creation, development and management of Local Energy Communities (LEC) in EU. Such dataspace will be easy to be populated and easy to interact with, also guaranteeing a smooth integration with other EU energy dataspaces and providing to LEC stakeholders services and tools for developing their activities.
