GSCNet-Optimizer: Software-as-aDecision-Support-System (SaaDSS) for Green Shipping Corridor Network Optimization

Aykan Akincilar, PhD

FOUNDER & CEO at Pallas Software & Consultancy Inc

İzmir, Türkiye

About

Of 84 announced GSC initiatives, only 4 are realized (12 preparing, 44 exploring, 24 initiating) due to the absence of any data-driven, policy-aligned framework for cost-effective GSC network decisions—no tool aligns GSCs with international regulations (IMO MEPC 81, EU ETS, FuelEU Maritime), diverging national mandates, or real-life conditions. Therefore, planning remains months-long and manual, yielding redundant investments and unviable corridors. To resolve this, the project develops GSCNet-Optimizer, an ML- and optimization-empowered SaaDSS platform that (i) analyzes all 84 announced GSC initiatives, (ii) designs a policy-aligned, demand-aware, cost-minimized, implementable GSC network, and (iii) provides a digital sandbox for stress-testing designs under real-life conditions.
