EIS Platform for Real-Time Monitoring and Diagnostics of High-Voltage Battery Systems
About
Current Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) solutions are typically limited to laboratory environments or single cell measurements. This project aims to overcome these limitations by developing a custom system capable of performing impedance measurements at battery pack level under operating conditions for monitoring degradation and remaining useful lifetime prediction.
The work can leverage SAL’s Validation Lab capabilities for experimental validation under realistic and controlled operating conditions. The lab provides advanced testing facilities, including environmental, mechanical, accelerated aging, and lifetime testing, enabling the evaluation of battery systems and impedance-based monitoring approaches in conditions representative of real-world operation.
