Sönmez Transformer (STS) performs testing activities not only for its own products but also for units manufactured externally. All tests are carried out in dedicated test laboratories equipped to handle routine and type test requirements.

The scope of testing includes:

•        Winding resistance measurement

•        Turn ratio measurement

•        Insulation resistance testing

•        Induced voltage test

•        Applied voltage test

•        No-load test (iron loss measurement)

•        Short-circuit loss measurement (copper loss)

•        Lightning impulse test, 400 kV 20 kJ

•        Partial discharge assessment

•        Temperature rise test

•        Noise level measurement

•        Power factor (tan delta) testing

•        Oil breakdown voltage measurement

These tests support performance verification and compliance assurance prior to delivery or recommissioning.
