Plant 5,000 hectares of arabica coffee for carbon credit development and premium coffee
About
Planting one hectare of coffee and shade trees costs US$580.00 per ha. 20,000ha X US$580 = US$11,600,000. We promote carbon removal and quality coffee concurrently. 2,000 coffee trees are planted plus shade trees. Average carbon credit per ha is 57.14 eCO2e X 40,000,000 trees for the projects. 35 trees = 1 tCO2e, thus 40M/35 = 1,142,857 tCO2e per year. Coffee first fruiting occurs in year 3. In year 5 full harvest starts. Green bean per coffee tree is on average 2.5kg X 40M = 100M kg, or 100,000 tonnes per year.
