About event
Europe has no shortage of promising research and innovation. The challenge is turning these results into first industrial deployments and investable businesses.
As European R&I projects increasingly aim for higher TRLs and First-of-a-Kind (FOAK) deployment, the transition from successful demonstration to commercial scale is becoming a critical step. At the same time, the upcoming European Competitiveness Fund signals stronger EU attention to supporting the pathway from research and innovation to scale-up and industrial deployment.
The CETPartnership FOAK Forum will bring together projects, industry, investors and experts to examine the challenges of this transition:

What prevents promising technologies from reaching FOAK deployment?

How can FOAK projects become investable?

And what needs to happen already during an R&I project to prepare for successful commercial deployment?
The programme will include insights from Federico Spadaro, CLERENS / H2IF, on the barriers between R&I success and FOAK deployment, and Niklas Willemsen, InnoEnergy, on how investors assess and de-risk emerging clean-energy ventures and build investable value chains. Further speakers and programme details will follow.
