RINA involves two main operational companies, RINA Services and RINA Consulting.

RINA Consulting is RINA’s engineering consultancy division, which provides a wide range of services covering the whole project life cycle from feasibility and specialized technical studies to conceptual and detailed design, prototyping and testing, project management, site engineering as well as operation and maintenance management. Working alongside Clients as a trusted technical partner, RINA Consulting provides a wide range of traditional and innovative services to critical industry sectors, including transport & infrastructure sectors, offshore and onshore Oil & Gas, Power, Mining, Renewables and Aerospace & Defense. As such, RINA Consulting offers high-end services to investors, promoters, operators and contractors, as well as to insurers and public administrations, to support their initiatives.

RINA Services is the operative company of RINA in charge of Testing, Inspection and Certification activities, providing a wide range of services, such as testing, certification, quality control, expediting and third party inspection. As testing, inspection and certification society, it is founder member of IACS (International Association of Classification Societies) and EURACS (European Association of Classification Societies).
