My organisation
At Eirmersive, the voice of the Immersive sector in Ireland, we have 43 members, from industry (XR solution providers and adopters), academia and research. Our solution provider members build AR/VR/MR applications across Culture, Healthcare, Education, Digital Twin, Visualisation, Arts & Entertainment. Eirmersive is strategically funded by the Irish Government to support the Digital Creative Industries Roadmap 2024-2026. As part of the Forum for Digital Creative Industries, we bring the needs and wants of our members to government. Given Ireland’s small size and connected ecosystem, our tech workforce and the fact that we are a base for 9 of the 10 large tech multinationals, Eirmersive’s network of members can work together to test bed initiatives and pilots nimbly. Some notable members, unique to Ireland are: Foróige, the youth service of Ireland who support 80,000 young people (10 – 18) and have 650 VR headsets. Udaras Na Gaeltachta support Irish language businesses. As a minority language Irish is spoken by 20k people daily. Skillnet Ireland – Skills body of Ireland with 70 business networks across industry for enterprise-led model of workforce development.
