Anna Sumereder, M.Sc., MBA, is a PhD candidate in business informatics at the University of Vienna. Since 2018, she has been part of BOC Group, a globally operating Austrian software company focused on IT-supported management approaches, where she advanced to the role of researcher. Anna has participated in several Austrian and European-funded research projects, including MEASURE, which focused on digitizing emergency management activities with tabletop exercises, and Change2Twin, which introduced digital twins for manufacturing SMEs. Her research interests revolve around digital twinning, digital transformation and artificial intelligence, particularly in the context of conceptual modeling. Her work emphasizes digitization patterns and conducting physical experiments within BOC’s OMiLAB Innovation Environment. Anna has published and presented selected project results at scientific conferences and has been active in the global meta-modeling and conceptual modeling communities, ADOxx.org and OMiLAB.org, creating value through models. Her dedication to research and continuous learning have defined her career trajectory.
