The Media Innovation & Intelligibility Lab (MiiL) is an interdisciplinary research and innovation lab at UCLouvain (Université catholique de Louvain, Belgium). It combines expertise in immersive technologies (XR), human-computer interaction, UX design, gamification, and hyper-realistic 3D environments. Closely connected to industry and public actors, MiiL develops advanced solutions for sectors such as biopharma, mobility, and industry. As a founding member of XR Wallonia–HITT, MiiL plays a central role in the initiative’s international strategy, representing Wallonia in European XR networks.

About me

XR Wallonia HITT (Human Interaction Technology Transfer) is a strategic initiative driving the advancement and adoption of immersive technologies in key industries such as manufacturing, mobility, healthcare, energy, sustainable housing. As part of the European S3 strategy of Wallonia, XR Wallonia-HITT accelerates innovation by connecting more than 80 stakeholders from industry, academia, research, and public service to foster collaboration and technology transfer.

MiiL (Media Innovation & Intelligibility Lab), a founding member of XR Wallonia HITT, contributes to the development and adoption of immersive technologies in Wallonia.With expertise in XR technologies, immersive UX and 3D environments, MiiL focuses on the design, evaluation and real-world application of immersive systems, supporting research-to-industry transfer in domains such as biopharma, automotive, healthcare and industrial training..
