The Faculty of Business Economics with seat in Košice, part of the University of Economics in Bratislava (UEB), is a key Slovak academic and research institution with a strong interdisciplinary focus on digital transformation, innovation management, and applied socio-economic research. The faculty brings extensive experience in EU-funded projects under Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, CEF, and Interreg programmes. Our expertise spans: Digital ecosystems and trust mechanisms in e-business and public e-services, Data-driven decision-making and digital skills enhancement, Industry 4.0 supply chain education, eProcurement, eInvoicing and open digital government, Quality and performance improvement via statistical methods and AI applications. We serve as national experts in digital single market policy and represent Slovakia in the European professional body ENBIS. Notable international projects include: PERSIST (Erasmus+) – developing digital procurement skills for Industry 4.0; MachineLearnAthon – innovative ML education for non-technical learners; EURINV (CEF) – EU-compliant cross-border eInvoicing infrastructure; E-COOP and Euro-Healthy – regional innovation and digital inclusion. The faculty maintains strategic cooperation with regional governments, ministries, and over 30 industry partners (e.g. Bosch, Osram, U.S. Steel), contributing to knowledge transfer, digital capacity building, and policy development. We are actively seeking partnerships under Cluster 4 calls addressing: AI and data governance, Secure digital infrastructures, Digital skills and future work, ICT-enabled public sector transformation.
