About me

Mr. Salko KOVAČIĆ serves as the Head of the Service for Information, Communication, and Development Technologies at Džemal Bijedić University of Mostar. With extensive experience in research and innovation frameworks, he formerly acted as the National Contact Point (NCP) for Future and Emerging Technologies (FET) and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) within the Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Framework Program.

Mr. Kovačić has been actively involved in high-profile European projects, including the IDEALIST2020 project under Horizon 2020 and the IDEAL-IST project supported by Horizon Europe. He is the author of several nationally significant development projects in the field of information and communication technologies and has been instrumental in fostering research and innovation at both the institutional and national levels.

A seasoned speaker and workshop presenter, he has delivered sessions highlighting opportunities for participation in major European programs, including Framework Program 7 (FP7), Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe, and Erasmus+. Through these engagements, he has contributed to building awareness and capacity for successful project participation across diverse academic and professional communities.
