Visual Sweden - Swedens' goto innovation cluster organisation for visualisation (including XR) and computer vision

Since its inception in 2016, thanks to the win in a national competition among innovation clusters, and a ten year funding from the Swedish innovation agency VINNOVA, Visual Sweden has established as a national leader and "goto organisation" in the field of visualisation and image analysis. It is based at Linköping University with substantial and high level research on the related topics. The member base is continuously growing with currently 120+ small, medium-sized and large enterprises. All of these are developing solutions based on visual technologies and visual intelligence, half och which with their roots in university environments. They are to be found all over Sweden, but with a considerably higher density near Linköping University, where research in the field was established early on in the now 50 year old university. Visual Sweden is able to participate with applied research innovation and test, for example in the contexts of Virtual Worlds, XR and metaverse as well when it comes to visual intelligence in different work environments ranging from creative work to process monitoring.

Visual Sweden has also established the yet informal meta cluster Visual Europe, with 10 other clusters in 9 other European countries.
